Forecourt Decommissioning Services
No matter what size forecourt you have, our forecourt decommissioning services can provide you with bespoke service, tailored to meet your requirements. From a single pump island with no canopy, to multiple pumps, kiosk, car wash and associated fuel tank installations, we can decommission your filling station forecourt safely and efficiently, using our own in house team.
Following an initial enquiry, a member of our team will discuss your forecourt decommissioning requirements and request some basic information from you such as:
- The number of, and nominal capacities of the tanks on site.
- The quantity and grades of product to be disposed of.
- A picture of the chambers leading to the tank lids.
- Pictures of any buildings and structures such as canopies or car washes.
With that information, we can then produce a budget quotation to allow you time to consider your options. If you are happy with your budget quote, we can then arrange to visit your site and gather any additional information on your tanks in order to issue you a firm quotation and begin to formulate a safe system of works..
Forecourt Decommissioning Process.
Upon receipt of a purchase order, we will then contact your local petroleum officer in order to submit the relevant health and safety paperwork for approval, and arrange a start date that is convenient to you.
Depending on your specific requirements, the process to decommission your forecourt will involve either underground tank cleaning and underground tank removal, or the decommissioning by solid fill of your tanks. All processes for the decommissioning process will be detailed in a method statement which will be submitted prior to commencing works, accompanied by risk assessments formulated from the information gathered thus far.
Upon completion you will receive a hazardous waste consignment note for any waste removed from your site. A certificate of decommissioning will be issued, with a copy also sent to the petroleum officer.
